Admission procedure - Master study

INFORMATION TO THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023

The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineerign of STU in Bratislava in accordance with the Act No. 131/2002 on Higher Education Institutions announces the admission procedure for master studies.

According to the Higher Education Act, the basic condition for admission to engineering studies at the university is the completion of the first degree study programme (bachelor study)

In the academic year 2022/2023 the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava opens the daily form of master study.
The external form of master study is not opening in academic year 2022/2023.

HOW TO SUBMIT THE E-APPLICATION

I tis possible to apply for the study through an E-application without a guaranteed electronic signature using the academic information system STU (AIS)

Keep your login details for E-application (applicants from other universities outside STU), you will need it for the enrollment for study.
Applicants for master studies shall specify in E-application no more than three study programmes in which they wish to apply (1. – priority, 2. a 3. - alternative). The procedure for selecting alternative programmes is described in the „Procedure for completing the E-application“
Correctly submitted application has the status „SUBMITTED E-APPLICATION“
Incomplete applications will be excluded
No need to attach the medical certificate with E-application.

ANNEXES TO THE E-APPLICATION

Annexes in ELECTRONIC FORM:

Signed CV, do not send in paper form!
List of completed subjects (only graduates from other universities and faculties)
Confirmation of admission fee payment (only in case of payment other than an online payment gate in E-application).

Mandatory annexes in PAPER FORM :

Must be sent immediately after submitting the e-application, respectively immediately after passing the state exam. (Immediately after issuing documents by the university)

A/ applicants from other universities and faculties:

Officially certified copy of diploma
Officially certified copy of state examination certificate
Officially certified copy of Diploma Supplement

B/ Applicants who finish their bachelor study in academic year 2022/2023 at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU in Bratislava: insert into E-application only scan of signed CV (resp. proof of payment of application fee). Other mandatory annexes will be inserted into the E-application form by the representative of the Department of Pedagogical Activities, after the state examinations.

Foreign applicants and applicants (also from Slovak republic) who studied abroad must submit officially certified copy of: Recognition of the equivalence of the bachelor diploma obtained:

Information of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic - on the recognition of education documents
Recognition of the document of higher education – for the purpose of continuation of study

Information on the recognition of education documents obtained abroad in slovak language

Information on the recognition of education documents obtained abroad in english language

Official verification of documents can be performed by a notary verification of the document or on the registry of the municipal office.

Tution fees

Study in standard length is free of charge. Fees for exceeding standard length of study and parallel study, respectively other related fees are determined by the Rector´s directive published at www.stuba.sk

Tuition fee for study in English language is 4 000 € per year.

SCHOLARSHIP

Student may be awarded a one-time incentive scholarship in selected fields of study, a motivational scholarship for outstanding performance of study obligations, or a motivational scholarship for extraordinary results..
